Objective of EOC
To promote equality, inclusion and equal opportunity while ensuring a campus environment
free from discrimination and unfair treatment.

⦿ Prevent discrimination based on religion, race, gender, place of birth, caste, disability, economic status or other prohibited grounds.
⦿ Promote diversity and inclusion within the institution.
⦿ Create awareness about equity, rights, responsibilities and available support mechanisms.
⦿ Encourage a respectful, safe and supportive campus environment.
⦿ Facilitate appropriate support for individuals facing discrimination or inequity.
⦿ Provide accessible mechanisms for reporting equity-related concerns.

The Equity Committee functions as an important institutional mechanism under the Equal Opportunity Centre for promoting equity and addressing concerns related to discrimination and exclusion.
