The Department of Civil Engineering Enriches teaching learning process by providing Outcome- Based Education (OBE). Outcome-based education is an educational framework that emphasis on defining and achieving measurable outcomes. It involves designing curriculum, instructional methods, and assessment and evaluation tools around these outcomes, with the goal of ensuring that students acquire the necessary knowledge, skills, and competencies. This results in better success rate, placement opportunities, opportunities in competitive and professional exams and professional career. Outcome-based education aims to provide clear expectations for students and promote a more purposeful and effective learning experience. At TCET, department of civil engineering design its curriculum, instructional methods and assessment tools in accordance with the students perspective and industry and other requirements. It enhances student’s skills, knowledge and competencies and help in having better career opportunities within campus and outside the campus. Department also put emphasis on providing training in collaboration with internal and external agencies to make students industry ready. Outcome-based education (OBE) enhances the reputation of educational institutions, streamlining accreditation processes, and equipping students with the essential skills for their future educational pursuits or career paths. A key factor in ensuring the efficacy of OBE lies in the implementation of dynamic curriculum improvements, the adoption of inventive assessment techniques, and the implementation of meticulous evaluation procedures. These measures collectively empower students to foster critical thinking, problem-solving capabilities, and cultivate self-directed learning aptitudes, thereby positioning them for triumph in both academic and professional spheres.

Implementing OBE in the department not only enhances the institution's reputation but also supports accreditation processes. Moreover, it effectively prepares students for further education or employment, setting them on a path for success.
